This digital artist turns the Ford Evos crossover into something more appealing
We’d like to think the lives of graphic designers are cool, especially those who spend their time visualizing automobiles right above their heads. Of Ford and Chevys to JDM cars, and brands and cars that are now gone, graphic designers can produce anything.
In keeping with that, Instagrammer jlord8, Jim, from the house of his “land of imagination” is back with a new render, and he imagined a Ford Fusion, based on the new Chinese Ford Evos. What are your thoughts?
Rendering of the Ford Fusion ‘Evos’ looks like a Nissan Maxima
Jim introduced his Ford Fusion CGI as follows: “I bought my version of a new Fusion using the Ford Evos as a base. It looks very Maxima.
He also included a photo of the Ford Evos and the difference between his Fusion render and the Evos is in the stance, length, headlights and accents.
Fans say it “looks better than most Fords”.
One had another suggestion to offer, writing, “That would make a badass little ute. Could design the rumored new Ford Ranchero.
The Ford Evos, meanwhile, is a low-slung midsize crossover SUV made by Changan Ford, which debuted at Auto Shanghai in 2021, it won’t be coming to North America, though it may hit others parts of the world as a Mondeo/Fusion replacement.
Jim has simply changed this crossover SUV to a sedan and calls it the new Fusion, but the change is enough to blow his fans away as one wrote, “Wow this first one is amazing. Strong hind quarters.
Another Instagram user felt that Fusion was the wrong name, as they commented, “I think the name Taurus fits this one better.”
But again, Jim has done the Taurus before.
Ford’s last four-door sedan was the Fusion
Jim did a Taurus SHO a few weeks ago, billing it as “a quick one for tonight’s starter.”
While fans loved its rendering, for many it gave Thunderbird vibes, and they also said, “You know what? It would have actually been a great Thunderbird model. These other comments are about something.
It seems like Jim designs great cars when it comes to Ford, but tends to name them incorrectly.
His Ford Fusion looks good, but we doubt Ford will want to bring back the 4-door sedan, having shot the Fusion down in 2020, due to poor sales. But a graphic designer can dream, right?
