The Ford Expedition is one of the most expensive SUVs to fill up with gas in August 2022
consumer reports says that even though gas costs $3.90 today, the 2022 Ford Expedition will still cost $112 to fill up. The 2022 Expedition is big, but was Consumer Reports’ number one choice for large SUVs. With a gas tank capacity of 28.3 gallons and a range of 453 miles, it’s no surprise that this SUV costs over $100 to fill up. Overall mileage came in at 16 mpg, with 11 in the city and 23 on the highway.

Chevrolet’s Suburban is the second most expensive SUV to fill up on gas

The 2022 Chevrolet Suburban is another large sport utility vehicle. Chevrolet’s Suburban (and corresponding GMC Yukon XL) returned the same 11/16/22 mpg as the Expedition. The Chevy SUV has a 28 gallon gas tank that gets 448 miles of range per tank. That equates to about $111 for a full tank of gas. Additionally, the Subaruban has a high score for predicted owner satisfaction.

Reported fuel economy is 15 mpg overall, 10 in the city and 21 on the highway.
