The fact is that the Lada XRay crossover is built on the Renault-Nissan B0 platform (like Logan and Duster) and imported components in its design account for about 30-40%. Thus, the steering and the braking system are completely foreign components.

A simple example: the last Lada XRay was completed in simpler versions without the EnjoY Pro multimedia system, since its parts were finished. Well, after Renault sold the VAZ for 1 ruble, you can completely forget about the supply of French parts.

Tolyatti thinks that a new, simplified urban version of the Niva can replace the Lada crossover. True, it is also not produced – AvtoVAZ continues to stand idle and constantly postpones the launch of the conveyor. Now they are threatening to do so on May 27.
