Reddit User Suggests How ‘Fast X’ Could Crossover With ‘GI Joe’

the Fast and Furious The franchise is no stranger to the unexpected. Although it began as a ground-based street racing series, the series slowly gained momentum, with each film featuring bigger and bigger stunts and more fantastical storylines.
Now fans are trying to figure out what the 10 Fast and Furious film, X fast, will have in store for viewers. And a Reddit user offered a fascinating fan plot suggestion.
In a post on the Fan Theories subreddit, user YouveGotTheTouch2 explained how Fast and Furious should become a classic 1980s toyline and cartoon HIDE In the post, YouveGotTheTouch2 says the film is expected to feature a new terrorist threat as the main antagonist.
The suggestion explains that Kurt Russel’s Mr. Nobody should return with a letter from General Joe Colton, the original GI Joe. And that this letter would explain that the new terrorist faction, called VENOM, is a sub-faction of COBRA. However, while the Joes have the technology to stop VENOM, they need more people, forcing Dom and his friends to step in and become Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, or MASK That would tie the whole thing together. Fast and Furious franchise with the GI Joe universe.
HIDE was a multimedia franchise created by Kenner Toys in 1985. Its main focus was a sprawling line of toys. However, it also featured a tie-in cartoon and several comics. The series saw the heroic Matt Trakker and his friends create the MASK organization to battle the evil organization VENOM, led by the ridiculously named Miles Mayhem.
What sets the series apart from other similar toy lines is that each character had a mask with special powers. Additionally, each character drove a vehicle that could transform from a normal-looking vehicle into an advanced combat vehicle. For example, Matt’s first vehicle, Thunderhawk, changed from a car to a jet plane. While initially a stand-alone show HIDE has been merged into the Hasbro universe over the past few years, especially into IDW comics.
Other Reddit users were quick to give their thoughts on the idea. Many seemed to like it, but many noted that it would mean several pun titles were off the mark.
While others happily shared their memories of the original HIDE toys and cartoons.
Of course, these two franchises had totally different projections at the box office. While x fast is on its way to being the most expensive movie ever made, and Furious 7 is the 10th highest-grossing film of all time, GI Joe: The Rise of the Cobra and its later sequels had much more modest box office showings.
Yet stranger things have happened, haven’t they? (See: the entire fast furious franchise.)
