Kia unveils pricing and specs for new XCeed compact crossover in the UK
Kia has revealed UK prices and specs for the new XCeed compact crossover.
The new XCeed received a series of mid-life updates three years after it first went on sale.
It has accounted for 10% of Kia’s total UK sales so far this year, with 5,652 units registered in the UK in the first half of the year.
Deliveries to UK customers for the new Kia XCeed begin from the end of Q3 2022, with prices starting at £22,995 for the petrol models and £32,595 for the low-emission PHEV model.
In the UK, the new XCeed offers the same choice of two powertrains as the pre-facelift model, including a low-emission PHEV model.
The expected bestseller in the range is the 1.5-liter T-GDi (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and developing 158 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
The engine features continuously variable valve timing technology, allowing it to continuously cycle through combustion cycles to maximize performance and efficiency under different driving conditions.
The new XCeed PHEV uses the same plug-in hybrid system, based on a 1.6-litre GDi (gasoline direct injection), combined with a 44.5 kW electric motor and an 8.9 lithium-ion polymer battery. kWh.
It applies its combined torque of 139hp and 265Nm to the road via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The new XCeed PHEV is capable of going up to 30 miles on electricity.
