The Jeep Wrangler remains an overpriced new popular SUV
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is the price at which the manufacturer has suggested the item be sold. Unfortunately for Jeep Wrangler fans, there’s still one popular new SUV with the highest price tag relative to MSRP. At the time of publication, iSeeCars says the Wangler is 24.4% above MSRP in some areas. Jeep Wrangler buyers can expect to pay an extra $8,433 to get into this Jeep SUV. This Popular New SUV Called Porsche Macan Is 23% Above MSRP

The Porsche Macan SUV has a high starting price, around $57,000. iSeeCars says many Macan SUVs cost 23.1% more than MSRP, or about $14,221 more. In the first five vehicles on this list, most of the options are luxury SUVs like the Porsche. Either way, you probably won’t be getting a good deal on Porsche Macan SUVs anytime soon.
If you want luxury, the Genesis GV70 offers plenty
Another luxury SUV option is the Genesis GV70. iSeeCars analyzes nearly two million car listings to determine which ones were priced above MSRP, and the Genesis GV70 came in 22.4% higher. That’s about $10,278 more than the base price buyers can expect to pay. That doesn’t mean every Genesis GV70 will be overpriced, but many options could be. It remains a popular new SUV that is overpriced.
The Lexus RX 450h is one of the most popular SUVs in the country
The Lexus RX 450h is a popular and reliable hybrid SUV, so people are willing to pay more. At 21.9% above MSRP, buyers will likely pay over $10,847 more. The regular version of the RX is the 350, but the RX 450h adds performance and fuel economy to the already popular SUV.
Buyers can expect to pay more than MSRP for the Ford Bronco
The legendary Ford Bronco is an obvious choice for those who want a bit of off-road capability. After analyzing sales of other Ford Bronco SUVs in the country, buyers can expect to pay 21.9% above MSRP in some cases. That’s about $8,697 more than the expected price, but the Bronco has been hard to come by.
Other vehicles on the list include the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Cadillac CT5, Porsche Cayenne, and Chevrolet Corvette. The most expensive option on the list is the Cayenne, for which buyers might have to pay $16,750 more than the MSRP. iSeeCars says the average price of a new car is currently 10% above MSRP, while some are much more expensive. Either way, iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer says new car prices may not stabilize until 2023.
