Canceled ‘Men In Black’ / ‘Jump Street’ Crossover Looks Surprisingly Good

According to Miller, the Jump the characters would have been in the middle of their “med school adventure” (which we take to mean ALL of these sequel ideas are canon) when they “entangled themselves in the world of men in blackand eventually teaming up with agents to “stop some type of alien takeover thing.” They’d even get their MiB suits, except they’d be “powder blue” because you have to fight your way up. to blacks, like with karate belts. So far everything makes it sound more like 21 jump street with aliens than a real men in black sequel, which is good (see: all men in black sequels, in fact).
Tatum also spoke about the project recently, and we get the feeling he’s equally enthusiastic, judging by lines like “one of the funniest scripts I’ve ever read” and “hands down, the best third sequel to any franchise I’ve ever read in my entire life.” He says he’s always ready to do it but doesn’t seem very convinced that it will ever happen, because it can be difficult to satisfy egos. and pockets of all the producers involved – including Steven Spielberg, whose production costs are likely more expensive than booking an actual flight to space.
Another potential problem is that Hill didn’t seem totally on board with the idea when he spoke about the project in 2016. Although he called the script “really funny”, he described the film as an idea stupid to mock cash-out suites. which slowly became the very thing he parodied the more expensive the project became. Maybe the solution is just to give up men in black (which we as a society should have done a long time ago) and make a 21 jump street film in a generic science fiction context. Hey, they even already have a name for it:
Pictures of Colombia
In fact, the more you think about it, the more men in black IP seems to be an insignificant part of this equation… unless they can have Will Smith do the theme song, of course.
