Models like the Toyota Avalon and Toyota Prius are even more often kept beyond 200,000 miles, according to data compiled by iSeeCars.com. Based on the data, we cannot conclude that all vans are designed to last longer or be more reliable than cars. That being said, there are several arguments to be made for pickup trucks to be the best buy between the two vehicle categories.
