2022 Chevy Silverado
The Chevy Silverado is often praised for offering a good range of configurations for owners to choose from. For the 2022 model year, the Silverado keeps its long list of possible configurations. In this list of configurations you have the double cabin with a standard bed, a double cabin with a short bed, a double cabin with a standard bed, but above all for our list, a regular cabin with a long bed. This configuration is the cheapest option, starting at just $32,195 MSRP, but with an impressive 98.18-inch by 71.4-inch bed, giving you the ability to haul loads of just over 8 feet in length.
The Silverado is available in two- and four-wheel drive, as well as a 2.7L turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an optional 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
2023 GMC Sierra
The GMC Sierra with a regular cab and long bed is a great option if you want a full-size pickup truck with impressive styling and luxuries not usually found on pickup trucks. The 2023 GMC Sierra is essentially the same truck as a Chevy Silverado with added styling and luxury badging. The Sierra’s interior has higher quality materials in the cabin than the Silverado. The regular cab, long bed variant of the GMC Sierra comes with an impressive 98.2″ by 71.4″ bed, giving this truck enough bed space for items over 8 feet in length, perfect for just about any job you throw at it. 2022 Ford F-150
If you prefer Ford trucks, you’re in luck; Ford offers a long list of trucks with a bed of at least 8 feet in length. The Ford F-150 is available in three different body styles. There’s Regular, which is a standard Single Cab with a front seat, Super Cab, which is a front and rear seat configuration with a small half-size rear door, and Supercrew, which offers a full front and rear seat.
For the Ford F-150, an 8-foot bed is offered on Regular Cab XL and XLT trims. The XL trim level is the base model and comes standard with a 2.7L V6 engine. Additionally, a 5.0L V8 engine and a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine are optional . The XLT trim adds chrome accents, upgraded lighting and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Where the Ford F-150 beats the competition is in the Super Cab category. While GM’s options only had a single cabin with an extended bed configuration, the F-150 comes with a rear seat. Both the XL and XLT offer a long-bed Super Cab configuration, but new trim is added to the list. The F-150 Lariat trim adds leather trim, a 12-inch touchscreen and area lighting, which illuminates the area around your truck for working at night. The Lariat also comes with 20-inch carbonized gray wheels.
2023 Toyota Tundra
The reliable line of Toyota Tundra trucks offers a few options for a truck with a full-size bed. The Tundra has a long list of possible configurations, but the base SR model and SR5 trim levels come with an 8.1-foot-long bed. The SR is a well-equipped base truck model that comes standard with a Smart Key system with push-button start and remote keyless entry. Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto are also standard features. The SR5 takes the base version of the model and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, tow and haul drive modes and a power rear window.
Both Tundra trim levels come standard with a 3.4L twin-turbocharged V6 engine, with no V8 option available. The Tundra aligns with the Ford F-150 line in cabin configuration. However, the Toyota Tundra offers a long bed in standard Regular Cab and SuperCab configurations, seating five passengers.
