2023 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe get GM Super Cruise driver assistance

The first step, however, is the Super Cruise feature, which will only be available for Premier and High Country trim levels on the Tahoe and Suburban. Although restricted to certain roads and a “paid” feature (once the included trial period expires), it gives both SUVs true hands-free driving, even when towing a trailer. While the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban are expected to enter production in the summer of 2022, there is no specific date on Super Cruise availability. As stated in Chevrolet’s statement, “Due to current supply chain shortages, Super Cruise will have limited or late availability. Availability is subject to change.”
What Chevy is able to confirm are new optional grilles for the LS, LT, RST and Premier versions of both SUVs. These grilles will be black with “Chevrolet” script writing, similar to the grilles you can purchase from your dealer’s parts department to install on your Silverado. “Chevrolet” script replaces the bowtie emblem, reminiscent of the grille of the current generation Silverado HD. Chevrolet has also confirmed that three new colors will be available for Tahoe and Suburban: Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Only the Radiant Red shade will be an extra while the Sage and Gray Metallics colors will be no-cost color options. At the time of this writing, Chevrolet hasn’t mentioned the additional cost of the Radiant Red, the new grille, or the cost of the Super Cruise. However, we do know that the Super Cruise costs $2,500 over the Silverado but also requires additional accessories for functionality. There will also be a monthly service charge after the three years of free service which is $25 per month for the Super Cruise subscription or $15 per month when bundled with OnStar service.
