2 Chevy SUVs are actually better for less
Do people buy the best version of the popular Chevy SUVs? For the most part, one trim level is far more popular than all the others. While every version of the 2022 Chevy Blazer and 2022 Chevy Traverse is viable, some are better than others. Most experts say the best Blazer and Traverse trim levels are also the most basic. Recommending the Blazer 2LT and Traverse LT fabric is easy, which is why there are two Chevy SUV which are actually better cheaper.
What is the most popular trim for Chevy SUVs?
According Edmunds, the most popular version of the 2022 Chevy Blazer is the 2LT version. Surprisingly, buyers choose the one that most experts recommend. How could you argue with which trim is best when everyone, buyers and reviewers, thinks it’s the same model? Starting at $34,595, the most basic Blazer offers more value than others in the line.
Then the same publication says the most popular Chevrolet Traverse 2022 is the LT fabric upholstery. There are two LT trims, one cloth and one leather, but most buyers choose cloth. Without sacrificing much else, the cloth seats are about $4,000 less than the leather option. Plus, the LT trim is the best of the bunch. Much like the Blazer, it’s surprising that experts and buyers agree on the best Traverse trim to buy.
Experts love the 2022 Chevy Blazer 2LT
Certain Chevy SUVs, such as the Jacket 2022, are actually better cheaper. That being said, not all experts recommend the same model. For example, Edmunds likes the less expensive 2LT version of the Blazer. “It is suitably equipped with practical and technological features and represents the best value for money. Consider adding the Driver Convenience and Confidence Package for some additional features like remote start, heated front seats and auto-dimming mirrors. With optional features available, the base model is surprisingly well equipped.
Next, Car and driver do not recommend the same model. However, experts believe that one of the cheapest Blazers is still the way to go. C/D prefers the 3LT model, which only puts one in front of the 2LT. “…we recommend the 3LT trim level, primarily because it unlocks the $500 V-6 engine option, which increases maximum towing capacity from 3,500 to 4,500 pounds, when equipped with the towing equipment, of course.” Higher towing capacity is always a bonus for an SUV of any size, and the larger engine is a plus over the base 2LT trim.
Critics agree on the best 2022 Chevy Traverse build
Then the two Edmunds and Car and driver recommend the same Chevrolet Traverse 2022 model. We can’t find any reason to disagree, as this gives the most bang for your buck. First, Edmunds says the LT cloth trim is the one to buy. However, he also mentions the leather version as a viable option. It depends on the needs of the buyer and if leather seats are essential for you. Cloth LT models feature wireless charging, second-row captain’s chairs, power-adjustable driver’s seat, roof rails, satellite radio and more.
C/D also thinks the LT model is the one to buy. “The mid-range LT model represents the best bang for the buck in the Traverse’s six-trim lineup, as it adds nice features like second-row captain’s chairs, power driver’s seat, satellite radio SiriusXM, fog lamps, heated exterior mirrors and roof rails. Finally, the publication mentions that the leather package makes the Travers more luxurious without the price of a Premier or High Country trim.Leather upholstery, front seats heaters, a power rear liftgate and more are included with the LT leather trim.
Why are these two Chevy SUVs better cheaper?
In conclusion, the 2022 Chevy Blazer and 2022 Chevy Traverse are actually better for less. While it’s obviously fantastic to get the features included with the top trims, they’re not worth the price. In addition, the Chevrolet lineup offers many SUV options. Often paying the top price for models like these seems silly when the same amount could get you a fuller Chevy SUV with more equipment. For example, a Equinox or a base Tahoe model offers more value than higher versions of these models.
